Security

Is payment secure?

Yes, because you'll pay using payment processing services that handle tens of thousands of payments each year. These companies can only exist because their absolute reliability has earned them their customers' and vendors' trust.

The payment processing service PayPal belongs to eBay and has been successfully operating world wide for more than five years: More than 30 million people carry out their payments with PayPal-accounts. The Californian company KAGI has been handling transactions for thousands of Internet vendors and tens of thousands of customers for almost ten years. The German payment processing service CK-Software has acquired a good reputation over several years as well.

Can anyone get access to my credit card data?

Nobody except for the payment processing service of your choice will get to know your payment data. We won't, either: We will only be told that you have made a payment.

Transmission of your data over the Internet is secure as well: The ordering pages are located on secure SSL-servers belonging to the payment processing services, and all data transmission is done using 128bit-encryption.

I live neither in the United States nor in Europe. How can I get the Full Version?

After submitting your order and payment, you can simply download your Full Version.

This is possible from all countries, world wide. And due to its small size of only about 10 MB, you don't need a good Internet connection, either.

I live neither in the United States nor in Europe. How can pay?

You can simply place a normal order, and pay with credit card or PayPal-account, or even with cash in your own national currency (all major currencies).

If you pay by credit card or PayPal account, the US$ or Euro price will automatically be converted, and your account will be charged the corresponding equivalent to the US$ or Euro price, in your own national currency. (Generally, there should be no additional costs to you.)

If you live within the European Union, you can also pay by remittance to a German bank account, without any extra fees, and regardless of your national currency. You only need to specify the IBAN- and SWIFT-bank-account-codes (you'll be told these numbers by the payment processing service after you've placed your order).

Swiss residents (Switzerland): You can pay by remittance to a Swiss bank account if you place your order using the payment processing service CK-Software.

With the payment processing service KAGI, you can also pay with cash in over 40 currencies. If you live in the United States, Canada or Japan, you can also pay by Postal Money Order if you order via KAGI.

Delivery

You Can Instantly Download Your Full Version

When you have submitted your order and payment, your Full Version will instantly be made available to you for downloading, and you will receive the link and password of the download site by email.

(This refers to payment by credit card or PayPal account. If you pay by remittance, your Full Version will be made available when your payment reaches our account, which may take several days.)

Slow Internet Connection? Foreign Countries? No Problem.

You can download your Full Version from any place on earth. Since the Full Version is very compact (less than 10 MB in total, split into 3 installer files of about 3 MB each), downloading takes only about two minutes. (Even with a very slow 56k dial-up Internet connection, downloading taks less than half an hour.)

You don't Need Internet Access on Your Gaming PC

You only need the Internet for downloading the Full Version installer files. If you don't have Internet access yourself, simply go to a friend's place or an Internet Café, and download your Full Version onto a Memory Stick.

Take the Memory Stick home, plug it into your PC, and execute the Full Version installer file on the Memory Stick.

No Activation Needed

The Full Version does not require any sort of Internet Activation or other kind of Activation. You will never need to 'activate' your downloaded Full Version: It is ready to be installed and played right away.

No Limit to the Number of Installations

There is no limit to how often you may install and uninstall your Full Version. You can install it on every computer that you own, and un-install or re-install it as often as you want to.

(However, since your Full Version is licensed only for yourself, you may not pass it on to others, and may not install it on other people's computers.)

And what if you keep my money and simply don't deliver?

Order fullfillment is automated. You will be able to download your Full Version immediately after submitting your order and payment, with no action by the author required.

And while it doesn't cost us anything to make your Full Version available to you, not doing so would cause lots of trouble for us. If we didn't ensure reliable and punctual delivery, the payment processing services would close our accounts and cease cooperation with us. Besides, the author lives within the European Union, in the Federal Republic of Germany (see Impressum), and therefore he is subject to German and European law, and to supervision by the German authorities.

Privacy

Privacy, Anti-Spam

The information you enter will only be used to process your order and payment.

You will never receive unsolicited e-mail, commercials or any other kind of spam from us. Your e-mail-address will only be used to send an order confirmation and the Download Link to your Full Version to you.

None of your data will ever be passed on to anyone else by us.

Note that German privacy and consumer protection laws are far stricter than their American equivalents. We are registered and licensed in Germany, and subject to German law.

The various payment services have their own, differing privacy policies. For you, the privacy policy of the one you choose to make your payment with will be relevant. (Due to Germany's strict privacy laws, the German payment processing service CK Software may be a better choice in this context than PayPal or Kagi, both of which reside in the U.S. or Britain.)

Delivery

The Full Version will be provided to you as a download. (It is not delivered physically on CDROM or likewise.)

When you have placed your order, you can INSTANTLY download, install, and play your Full Version.

How does that work?

Immediately after placing your order, you will receive an email with the link to the download site and a password. Downloading the Full Version will take no more than 30 minutes even with a very slow internet connection.

The Full Version can also be installed and run on PCs without Internet access. You only need the Internet once for ordering and downloading your Full Version.

A convenient installation program is provided. All of your existing saved games will remain available. You can continue to use them with the Full Version, and you can now play them until you finish the plot.

How to Download

Immediately after placing your order, you will receive an email with the link to the Internet download site and a password.

Visit this download site with your Web Browser (i.e. Internet Explorer), and download your Full Version from there.

Download Time

The downloadable Full Version is less than 15 MB in size. That is just around a third more than the Demo. So even with a very slow 56k dial-up connection, the download should take no more than 30 minutes. With a DSL connection, it should take less than 2 minutes.

Installation

If you have already installed a Demo Version, the Full Version will keep all of your existing saved games. You can continue playing from precisely the spot where you have left the Demo.

All of your existing saved games will remain available. You can continue to use them with the Full Version, and you can now play them until you finish the plot.

Ordering will take about 2 minutes, downloading the Full Version using a DSL Internet connection will take about 2 minutes, or, using a 56k dial-up connection, about 30 minutes, and the installation will take about 2 minutes:

Slow Internet Connecions

The Full Version installer file ist split into 3 parts of about 3 MB each. These can be downloaded without problems even with very bad Internet connections.

No Download Manager Needed

You will not need any download manager software. You can simply download the Full Version installer files with your Web Browser (i.e. Internet Explorer).

You only need the Internet for ordering and downloading your Full Version. Once you have downloaded your Full Version, you can also install/play it on PCs that are not connected to the Internet.
